A SONG IN THE NIGHT
When in the stillness of the night I sing a song
Whose hearing ears will the tones glorify?
Perhaps the winds, ever gentle at this most peaceful of hours shall transcend the distance to your unsuspecting heart
Will you feel my passion then?
Even if all I can do is to wish
Even if the gods will not disrupt my prayers
Even if you cease to be a character in my fantasies
Why must I love you without caring for the depths you have plunged into?
Does caution not cause sorrows to soil romantic dreams?
I will not for a moment cease my singing
Even if I imagined your presence
I shall refuse to feel it!
I want to be with you everyday, forever
So my song says
If the lines are for you
You are already a part of me
The echo of my silences can only be heard by spectators
What cometh out of me is also a product of what you are!
